This pendant is one of several pieces I have created over the years which used the sparkling crystalline druzy appearance to suggest a starry night sky. On first view, the polished onyx surround of the druzy suggested an outline of a hillside. Putting these images together it seemed the only thing missing was a silhouette image of a father and son viewing the night sky through a telescope. A final touch was the addition of the moon created from a slice of Golden Pearl shell. Once again, I have carried the design to the reverse which includes another larger silhouette of a parent pointing above the child toward the stars.
